Green, Sustainable
and Renewable:
Current Energy Issues

April 10 2017, 9h AM to 4h PM
École de technologie supérieure (Auditorium A-1600)
Montréal

Climate change is proving to be a reality that must now be addressed. It is important to continue efforts to limit the rise in temperature and the impacts it causes, while developing strategies adapted to the rapidly changing climate.

Energy – the energy one consumes, the energy one produces – must have a role to play in these great upheavals. Reducing our energy consumption, particularly fossil fuels, and producing other energy (hydraulic, solar, wind ...) are the two main drivers of the energy revolution that is taking place.

Researchers are at the very heart of this transformation that is driving our economy. Clean energy, biomass, energy storage: The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologies (FRQNT) provides an update on research and innovations of the field and presents the avenues to be borrowed now so that the future turns green.
